CAN'T SAY came from the dirty streets of Baltimore, Maryland and played pop influenced punk rock in the tradition of SAMIAM, JAWBREAKER, LEATHERFACE and MEGA CITY 4. The band began in the summer 2000 when 4 guys got together and wrote 5 songs without a singer. After a short time though, they found one, and the line-up was finalized as Nick and Donald (guitar), Mike (bass), John (drums), and Andy (vocals). After recording two demos and playing the hell out of every Baltimore Venue at which they could book themselves, they recorded four songs to be released by Boss Tunage as part of their Instant Singles Collection in 2002. Around 2003, having written a bunch of new songs, Newest Industry asked them to record something that they could release as an EP. After a long wait, those six songs were finally finished at Ultrasound Studios by Chris Camden (of LIARS ACADEMY) - and then the band broke up! It was then decided Newest Industry would "release" the 6 track EP, entitled "Call Me", as a free download. This is a good thing, as it's fantastic... soon afterwards, CAN'T SAY morphed into GREASEGUN, who were also great and who also broke up before Newest Industry had a chance to release their EP! Last time I checked, Nick was in DEEP SLEEP.
