THE ENABLERS filter their frustrations through punk rock passion and beer soaked vignettes in the spirit of SOCIAL DISTORTION, LEATHERFACE, THE REPLACEMENTS and HOT WATER MUSIC. Formed in 2002 THE ENABLERS, up until recently, was a relatively loose collective of rotating roster musicians. With Rob Coe living in Los Angeles at the time - and Dan Bonebrake and Addison Burns in Florida - practicing and recording was not easy for THE ENABLERS, so Rob kept things going in LA by playing gigs with various "stand in" musicians at venues such as The Garage (RIP) on Santa Monica Blvd. At one point, Addison was temporarily also living in LA, which meant songs could be worked on, and some live tracks were put on a self-released EP called "Juiced", and 5 acoustic tracks were recorded for another self released CD-R, entitled "On The Wagon". In late 2002 the idea to record and release tracks for the "Sweet Fuck All" EP on Newest Industry came about, and the band went into the studio in April 2003, in Miami, with producer and friend Jeremy Dubois. 8 tracks were recorded, all of which have now been released by Newest Industry on both vinyl and CD. From 2004 to date the band has been relatively quiet, with no new recordings (although there's a demo of a new song, "Sadie" on their MySpace page, which is awesome!), very few gigs and the Bonebrake bothers (Dan from DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL originally on bass, and his brother Daryl on drums) being replaced by two of the first BLACK COUGAR SHOCK UNIT line-up members, Todd Rockhill (also now of THE DRAFT) and Troy Perlman.
